Side Effects cover and some thoughts

Okay, so I've got a buddy working with me on the script for this one, so it'll probably show up sooner rather than later.

Recently I've been really into hand lettering stuff. Scratchy dry brushing, and funny textures. Yeah! Which, combined with my newly revamped UBER digital take on everything, I'm hoping will temper the lifeless digital tone sometimes that kind of art can take on.

Also, I just want to make scary logos for everything now. Maybe I'll make more for this, just for fun.

Plot? well, there's an insane asylum for this one, some bugs, some blood, some flashbacks, probably an arson charge, perscription drug abuse, high tops, ghosts, cigarettes, booze, and a hella ton of sound effects. AMBIENT AUTUMN COMIC PROJECT, GO!

Halloween has come and gone with little trouble. I stopped a fight, drank Jim Jones Juice, had an amusing conversation with a police officer about Pabst Blue Ribbon, burnt a pumpkin pie, and slept late when it was rainy.

I feel like a Rockstar when I play this game.

so, uhhhhh... is it cool if I just want to draw videogame stuff for a while?

Without a doubt, Rockstar Video's BULLY is my favorite videogame of all time. I mean, it has everything. The ultimate premise. (Boy meets school. Student body tries to kill boy. Boy conquers school.) The coolest main character. (Lore has it that Jimmy Hopkins's shiftless absentee father is none other than GTA's famous Tommy Vercetti.) The coolest arch nemisis. (Gary Smith, he of the excessive medications for multiple paranoias and disorders.) A COOL city map where you can get tattoos, clothes, hair cuts, do graffitti, fight cops, launch things from rooftops, hang out with greasers, red necks, rich kids, nerds, teachers... you can participate in bike rallys and races. Mow old ladies down with the riding mower, push people down hills while they're in port-a-pottys, start food fights, smash cars, ride go karts, and steal virtually anything that isnt tied down. It also helps that certain unlockable outfits, like the black ninja suit, give you cool ammunities and help your mischeif along. And glory upon glory, you can make out with girls AND boys, for extra heath bonuses.

Gosh darn it, Rockstar Video. You've done it again.

Tin Tin and the Captain

Apparently when I was small and read the big floppy copies of the Adventures of Tin Tin, I would always ask my mom why Tin Tin and Captain Haddock weren't married.

I mean... why aren't they?

They should at least live together by this point.

Sheesh.

BULLY-tastic

It seems suddenly as if I can no longer merely -play- Rockstar Video's ultra-cool high school simulator game, BULLY, but must now draw it everywhere. And on everything.

Expect to see more of this. And maybe some Tommy Vercetti.
